Cats vs Dogs the long asked question of which is better has been brought up again...

Hello everyone!
Today I will be showing what I did for a competition.
Alright so Michael and I (Michael being my classmate) had a competition to see who did better to persuade people which pet is best between cats and dogs!
If you want to go look at Michael's one then just click on the link below.

Anyways I hope you enjoy the competition and here is mine!
(Remember to comment below who you think did best!)

Why Cats are better than dogs.
By Lucretia.
(DISCLAIMER: I may be explaining why I think cats are the better choice but that does not mean I don’t like dogs, they can also make a great pet, also just know that this is for a competition as well. Also feel free to vote who you think did better out of Micheal and I in the comments.)

Now why do I think cats are the better pet well that's what I will be talking about today but here is a small reason why, they are so cute and small and will make your heart melt, while some dogs are like that they are a lot harder to look after, so let's start with what makes cats easier to look after.

Why cats are easier to look after.

Let’s start with food prices, while dog food is cheaper than cat food that doesn’t necessarily mean you won’t be paying more money for dog food, the reasoning for this is that dogs eat a lot more than cats and so you run out of food for them fairly quickly, while cats will take quite a bit longer to get through their bag of food making the cats food cheaper in the long run.

Another reason that cats are better is that if you would rather not have to do all the walking and exercise, cats don’t need all the exercise and would rather stay at home and rest with their owner, and since they are more lets say lazy animals they don’t need so much play time so you won't be paying as much money on toys and outside house stuff (such as dog houses).
One last thing is that cats can look after themselves most of the time so you don’t need to worry about cleaning them or anything like that as long as they have some food, a collar and a place to sleep in your home they can take care of almost everything else.

Which one fits your personality.

Okay I know I’m trying to persuade you that cats are the better pet but I think this is pretty important.
The reason for this is because if you get an animal that doesn't suit your personality you won’t get the full, amazingness, of the animal.
So let’s just get this part over so we can get back to why cats are better.

Anyway let's say you are more of an extravert or an outside person you’re gonna want a dog instead of a cat because like I said a cat likes to stay inside and is normally less friendly towards other people.
But if say you like to stay inside or if you are an introvert you would want to have a cat because then you can rest with your cat and play with him/her at home and get the most of your time with the cat.
But remember that if you are allergic to one or the other maybe you shouldn’t get that pet but then again it does depend on how allergic you are to that animal because I know people who are allergic to cats but have about four cats but that is because they are only slightly allergic, so yeah it really depends on how allergic you are.

Random facts showing cats are better than dogs.

Okay here are just some things that show why cats are better than dogs I will explain most of them because some don’t make as much sense.

Cats' love is more meaningful than dogs.
Now this might seem as if I’m just saying that cats love means more but I’m not, as you probably know dogs seem to love pretty much everyone but a cat normally takes a lot of time to warm up to people, so while having a dog lick you and be happy around you, when a cat does that kind of stuff you feel special and unique because the cat doesn’t really do that to anyone else.

They are better for the environment
While you may think all the hunting cats do is bad for the environment, but ecosystems are well-adjusted now. In fact it’s not cats but dogs that are bad for the environment.
With research by NZ researchers in 2009 dogs actually have about 2.1 times the environmental impact of an SUV.

They live longer.
On average a domestic cat will live for about 15 years so you can spend more time with them before they pass away.

Conclusion.

I really hope you have enjoyed this and that I have shown why I think cats are better.
Remember that I don’t think dogs are bad, they can make great pets but I just think that cats are the better pet again I hope you’ve enjoyed and goodbye!
